Tenders are invited for Consultancy for the Development of “Behaviour Change” Initiatives to Promote the Uptake of Cover-Crop The assignment is divided into two-phase: 1) Research on barriers to cover crop adoption 2) Design of marketing/behaviour change initiatives. 1) Research on barriers to cover crop adoption: • Identify inhibitors and promoters that prevent or support the adoption of cover crops. • Identify key entry points in the community (ACs, input suppliers etc..) that can assist with the promotion of cover crops or become enablers of adoption. • Identify most suitable channels for the dissemination of behaviour change messages related to the promotion of cover crops. 2) Design of behaviour change initiatives and training of staff: • Using behavioural science or gamification to design offline tools, games and activities with project participants to shift agricultural practices to regenerative and climate-friendly production methods. • Design (marketing) campaigns for behaviour change of clients both offline and online (farmers, agri- businesses, food producers, processors, consumers) to support the adoption of cover crop usages. • Design and development of the branded product based on cover crop seed. (ie. ready-to-use cover crops seed mixes, improved The initial three tasks are required to ensure that gamification and behaviour change/campaigns are evidence- based and tailored to the needs of the adopter of cover crops.
